This study aimed to analyze the perspectives of Dental Medicine students, namely expectations, concerns, positive aspects and to be improved, about their involvement in a Service-Learning (SL) experience in higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Expectations and concerns were collected through an open questionnaire, and the positive and improving aspects through an intermediate reflection guide. 45 students participated in this study, 25 female (67.57%) and 12 male (32.43%), aged between 20 and 56 years (M = 25.76, SD = 8.85). Data were analyzed through content analysis, with the NVivo 27 Software. The results highlight the expectations related to the acquisition of theoretical-practical and relational knowledge, as in the concerns, is highlighted the concern regarding the impossibility of contacting the elderly in person due to the pandemic. Regarding the positive aspects of the experience, the impact that the experience had on the elderly is the most mentioned, while as an aspect to improve, the experience is referred to as being in person. This study contributed new data on students' perspectives on an SL experience in higher education during a pandemic period.
