The purpose of this dissertation consists in the analysis of a case study regarding the soft skills assessment practices implemented in recruitment and selection processes by an HR consultant. Following a qualitative approach, the study was developed using participant observation in the field by the researcher, document analysis and semi-structured interviews carried out with the various participants involved in this process. Regarding the results, these show the relevance from the point of view of the elements involved in the study. Therefore, in order to improve the techniques applied by company X2, it is intended to improve the methodologies already used and the implementation of new ones; and to promote the training of consultants regarding the awareness of the relevance of soft skills assessment in R&S processes, as well as for the adoption of good practices to implement it. The study ends with the presentation of possible practices to be implemented by company X in order to face the suggestions made by the interveners and, consequently, to remedy the identified limitations.
