Divorce is increasingly recurrent, and this is a process that can influence the development of emotional and behavioral problems in children. Thus, this study aimed to analyze emotional and behavioral difficulties in children of former couples, due to the sociodemographic characteristics of parents and children, as well as the experiences of both associated with the challenges of the pandemic by COVID-19. The sample consists of 59 parents aged between 25 and 55 years, who experienced at least one divorce/separation process. The children to whom the results are reported are children of this ex-relationship and are aged between 4 and 17 years old. The results showed that boys have higher levels of behavior and hyperactivity problems, as well as those children who, at some point, were referred to psychological services, are the ones with higher levels of emotional and behavioral difficulties. It can be concluded that some sociodemographic variables may have impact on the emotional and behavioral problems of children of divorced parents. However, although the literature mentions the influence of other variables, analyzed in this study, no significant differences were found.
