: análise da profissionalização do engenheiro e os impactos sócio económicos na sua formação

Abstract

This dissertation analyzes the trajectory of the professional and technological education of the engineers who became teachers due initially to a full need of survival in the face of the socioeconomic crisis that the current market imposed. It is organized around three aspects: the evolution of education in the view of alternations of teaching methodologies, the profession of the engineer as trade and occupation, and the search for the ideal teaching engineer. The text also shows the evolution of the higher teaching career in engineering, which refers us from the teacher, who had a didactics in practical knowledge to the vision of teaching by researchers, and leave us in the eternal search for teachers who can awaken the two areas in a perfect blend. For this study were used articles and books that are based investigations on the changes of the teaching profession in the technical areas and the professional suitability of the engineer as educator.
