Abstract

This document was prepared as a action research project under the theme “Living with dementia – the safety of the elderly and the role of the community” which was awarded the title “Meu Porto Seguro”. The idea of the project is to sensitize the community to this issue, involving local agents as well as the population of the city of Portimão. Aiming to inform and train members of the general public when it comes to dementia. Promoting the developing of establishments designed to welcome those who suffer from this disease, giving them a save place and dignity.
