Healthy aging needs to integrate the appreciation of all life stages of individuals, exploring their capabilities, skills and knowledge in a constructive and enriching logic way. This study focuses on the problem of intergenerationality, intending to confirm the benefit that a quality relationship between people of different generations can bring to their lives. We started from the analysis of a concrete reality of coexistence between two groups of women, young and old, both living in a host institution, with whom we implemented an intervention project consisting of a set of intergenerational dynamics, whose aim was to verify the benefits of these relationships to both groups. The applied methodology was action-research, focusing primarily on a qualitative assessment of all intergenerational activities and the level of inter-action of participants. We found that this planned action resulted in the strengthening of affective ties between all participants, a more positive view of the ageing process and old people, the valuation of the knowledge of each generation, the reduction of existing prejudices and the increase of well-being and satisfaction withdrawal of interaction between generations with positive results for every participant.
