Patient satisfaction with health care has become a key indicator in assessing the quality of mental health care delivery. In this way, users have come to play a central role in the definition of better responses to their needs, as well as in the implementation of better health practices. Although in recent years there has been a significant growth of research in this area, in Portugal studies on users-services satisfaction are still scarce. The general objective of this study is to develop and test a satisfaction questionnaire for users of a socio-occupational unit with the services provided. This is a quantitative exploratory study, in which a Satisfaction Questionnaire was developed to assess the services provided, namely: psychology consultation, cognitive stimulation, relaxation and mindfulness groups, labor and social support, and occupational activities. The results show a high satisfaction with most of the services, especially with the psychology consultation, the occupational activities, especially creative writing, and their impact on the individual recovery of users. In conclusion, the high level of satisfaction of these users and the impact of the services provided by the institution is confirmed, and further research is needed in this area, namely indicators of hope, active growth, safety and well-being in recovery.
