Abstract

The present work seeks to present an analysis to the sacrament of Reconciliation, which, for many authors, is in crisis. Starting from this conjecture, and based on the biblical, theological and historical assumptions of this sacrament, as well as on the renewal of the II Vatican Council, we seek to know the reasons for the crisis, analyzing the current state of the celebration of the sacrament, and trying to present some proposals for renewal, particularly in the sense of understanding and facing the sacrament of Reconciliation.
