In the present dissertation we intend to analyze and reflect on the use of the anatomical piece chinrest, in the perspective of the user musician / instrumentalist and especially on a didactically vision. This violin component is positioned in the body of the instrument itself, and its main function is to serve to support the musician's chin, hence its name. For more ergonomic use and adjustability both in relation to the user as a function of the violin, we had into account the prevention of discomfort and possible physical problems resulting from violin practice and we tried to assess the importance of a booster for better quality and excellence in violin teaching tool. Due to its specific characteristics, the violin requires from the instrumentalist and performer physical capabilities that sometimes become difficult to find. One of the most important features is related to the way the violin instrument is positioned and held, between the shoulder and chin. The strength that both the neck and the chin are to perform during a rehearsal, the hours of training or an act itself, can be of an extreme discomfort, which has repercussions on the quality of music played and, especially, in the health of the violinist. This discomfort should begin to be avoided from an early age, so, in that matter; we direct our investigative attention to a music school and carried out a case study of qualitative nature, which included the application of the investigative technique with the application of an interview to the violin teachers of the vocational school ARTAVE. We did so in order to gauge the perception of the importance of using the chinrest, and how to choose the best one.
