This report, prepared under the Master in Teaching Visual Arts in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education, refers to the Teacher Training in Visual Arts, which began in September 2011, in the High School D. Maria II, in Braga. Reflects on how art contributes in the context of teaching and learning, to the dynamics of other curriculum subjects. The report seeks to present ways of using and applying the art in the student's education. In particular, considering the slope of the student to the need of understanding and immediate responses, aimed at stimulating aesthetic sensibility and encouraging reflection on the student, as antecedents of different action. To this end, we resort to various art forms to encourage the development of creativity. The ultimate goal of this report is therefore to articulate a reflection between Art and Education, showing their intimate relationships, the purpose of an Education through Art. In this context, an attempt will also stress the importance of closer ties with other disciplines and teachers, as well as the surrounding community. This narrowing can contribute to the development of creativity in teaching teachers, self-esteem and self-concept in students. Should also facilitate the development and education of aesthetic taste, which adds to the development of perception about the artist and the artistic creation.
