Abstract
The report of the professional practice described here evidences an intervention actionin a class that attends to the first year of the discipline of Analysis and Techniques of
Composition. This intervention had as fundamental goal promote the creativity in
compositional exercises with strict rules characteristic of different techniques of eras of the
music history. What motivated the intervention was the recognition, from the analysis in class,
of the lack of creativity in students of the mentioned class. In addition to the fundamental goal
of this intervention, there was also an intention to value a personal expression to the students’
exercises, removing the significance of quantitative evaluation, there so making the results into
a final product of an artistic expression of the student.
