Abstract

This report of clinical activity is based on the clinical acts performed during the last year of the MSc course in Dental Medicine, at Catholic University. The first part describes the clinical activity conducted in different disciplines (Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Operative Dentistry, Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics Fixed, Removable Prosthodontics, Occlusion, Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics) since the establishment of a correct diagnosis and treatment plan, to the description of the treatment used. The study population was characterized according to their distribution by gender, age, clinical area, diagnosis and treatment plan, and was made a descriptive statistic. The second part describes and discusses four clinical cases considered as differentiated view of its lower frequency and higher clinical complexity. These clinical cases include the rehabilitation of a smile to aesthetic and functional level; one autograft in the 4th quadrant; an oral rehabilitation using fixed bridges; a periodontal surgery; and later indirect restoration. This report ends with a conclusion of the author, emphasizing the importance of the large number of clinical acts (including differentiated) realized in the current school year, and the valuable transfer of knowledge of different clinical teachers in their clinical training in dentistry.
