Dental Medicine does not only acts in the treatment of the stomatognathic system but also in the prevention of several diseases. Thereby, prevention is a valued resource, implemented to reduce diseases of the oral cavity, anxieties and phobias lived in a clinical setting since they often compromise the actual demand Oral Health Care. In our society, it is known that fear and anxiety about dental practices arise as conditioning factors of dental treatment interfering in the psychological condition of the patient. These individuals resort to the dentist during the onset of painful symptoms which due to the deteriorating health of the oral cavity, lead to a more invasive and uncomfortable treatment for the patient and consequently cause more stress acting like an enhancer for greatest anxiety. The relationship doctor/patient and the technical implementation issues are today notably current issues since they should be analyzed according a free access to the technologies which may lead to the dehumanization of medical care. Therefore, it is important to rethink medical activity in the light of present theories of communication as the issue of the dehumanization caused. This clinical activity report aims to take notice at the reality of the population observed in the University Clinic of the Catholic University during the course of the several subject areas and establish a relation with communication as a way to minimize anxiety states, traditionally installed in our population.
