This report provides a description and reflection on the stages of emergency and operating theater, performed in the Hospital São Francisco Xavier Hospital and Santa Cruz respectively. These stages are part of the Masters Course in Nursing Specialty in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in order to develop skills in the approach to the patient in critical situation. The practical component includes a state of emergency (modulo I), intensive care/intermediate module (II) and an option (Module III). For this stage to define the objective of developing skills as a nurse specialist in providing care to critically ill patients; How to stage the transversal objective of developing skills in renal transplantation. During the internship option, the operating theater in the HSC, I conducted training for nurses on the BO living donor transplant – donation particular crusade. Streamlining the theme in the services that interact in the process of transplantation, performed training on the process of organ procurement and transplantation and cadaveric kidney living donor - donation particular crusade in the service of Nephrology. I designed a poster for the consultation of kidney transplant. Stage in the emergency HSFX aimed primarily to develop skills in caring for critically ill patients and their families in situations of urgency / emergency in the hospital. I conducted training regarding the awareness of nurses to harvest organs. I prepared a flowchart of the process of organ procurement and standards and procedures regarding the care of the hemodialysis catheter.
