Abstract

The probation report expresses the critical analysis of the experiences of contact that occurred in the intervening three contexts of clinical practice, promoting the development of expertise through the provision of nursing care to the patient critical / significant others and those of other interventions that helped to improve continuous quality and safety of care. It addresses the issues of acid-base balance and nutritional support in critical user, as well as the problem of acute postoperative pain, the result of learning needs revealed by different multidisciplinary teams that tried to fill with targeted interventions. This document also portrays the development of a professional practice of caring, humanistic and scientific based on the theory of Jean Watson, who is oriented to substantiate and justify the skills inherent to the Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing.
