Abstract

This report was developed with the intention of measure up one of the last requirements for theMaster with Specialization in Mental Health Nursing and Psychiatry (MESMP) fromPortuguese Catholic University (UCP), allowing to obtain post-graduate specialization inMental Health Nursing and Psychiatry (ESMP) and after public discussion of the Master inNursing.This stage is divided into three modules, in which we tried to found the objectives set by theschool and individual targets planned in the draft stage, which took place in the followinginstitutions: University of Porto (CHP) Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health inChildhood and Adolescence (DPSMIA), Hospital de Braga (HB) Service of Psychiatry andMental Health Unit - men and Health in the House of Bom Jesus (CSBJ) - Rehabilitation Unit.In these places we intend to develop a stage, in which the care was systematized by athread based on the mental health care throughout the life cycle as a means of promoting social harmony. In conclusion, this report presents a description and discussion of activities and skills acquired; the learning of scientific, technical, relational, acquired or developed during clinical practice, by assessing the activities who responded to the objectives, resulting in the acquisition of skills in the area of the ESMP.
