The development of competencies for advanced nursing care to adult and elderly patients with severe disease, especially the patient in critical condition, assumes a crucial role to meet the curriculum area of expertise concerned. However, the path designed and developed greatly appealed and contributed to the development of relational skills and in training, to the extent that the overall aim to cross two stages were: "Working together to improve the care provided by nursing teams, as regards the safety of health care." This report thus aims to describe the areas of practice’s choices, proceeding to a brief description of the context, particularly those aspects affecting the choice of intervention and strategies used. We chose to describe the methodology used , objectives set, targets achieved, skills as a specialist nurse mobilized or developed for their achievement. The bibliographic research, both with reflective analysis of situations and experiences provided and used during the training period, were taken as basic training tools developed in the course, which were included in the preparation of this report.
