Abstract

The Master in Nursing with specialization in Infant and Pediatrics Health, aims to promote personal and professional development, ensuring the acquisition of specific scientific, technical, human and cultural appropriate to the provision of skilled care nursing from the perspective of lifelong learning through self training and practice based on evidence. It is intended with this report, highlight the skills of an Infant and Pediatrics Health Nurse Specialist, acquired and
developed over the probationary period, whose activity was developed at Centro de Saúde Senhora da Hora, Serviço de internamento de Pediatria da Unidade Local de Saúde de Matosinhos and Serviço de Urgência do Hospital S.João.
Reflect on the vulnerability of the child, was a crosscutting concern along the probationary period, resulting in the conducting wire that influenced my posture and reflection. The children, by his biological, ethical, social and emotional immaturity, are a truly dependent, fragile, vulnerable and susceptible to the breach of the rights that are inherent to humans and, therefore, require a particular protection. The contact with such different realities, allowed me to reflect on and about my practice as a health professional and human being, and adapt the acquired knowledge to my practice work Therefore, this report emerges as a reflection of my intervention as an Infant and Pediatrics
Health Nurse Specialist, in different care contexts, having as primary aim to highlight skills and professional abilities conducive to the Degree of Master of Nursing .
