This Report is part of the XIII Master's Course in Nursing with Specialization in Medical- Surgical Nursing (EEMC) held at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Unidade Curricular Estágio Final e Relatório, which is composed of two interships that were carried out at UCIC and UCIP respectively. This document is the result of a learning process that was carried out during the internships that were carried out in the Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit (UCIC) and in the Intensive Care Unit (UCIP) of a Central Hospital. This internship aimed to develop the skills of a Specialist Nurse in Medical-Surgical Nursing, namely in the approach to the person and family in critical situation. With the preparation of this report, I intend to reflect on my path, through a critical and reflective analysis, describing the activities based on theoretical and technical knowledge, supported by ethical and deontological values, and clarifying the key points of my evolution. The methodology used in the preparation of this report is based on the description and critical-reflective evaluation of the activities carried out, using the bibliographic review, which is necessary and underlying its development. I intend that this report reflects the work developed during the internship, describing the activities carried out to achieve the previously defined objectives that I set out to achieve. At the end of this journey, I denote that this learning proved to be an asset in the sense of having positively contributed to the development of my scientific, professional, relational, methodological, social and ethical skills, promoting my ability to reflect on knowing how to be, knowing how to do, knowing knowing and knowing how to be providing the evolution of critical reflection, autonomy and decision-making. This report illustrates the set of skills acquired and developed throughout the entire learning path.
