Abstract

This report, in the Master's Degree in Nursing with Specialization in Community Nursing, intend to portray the Internship Course is divided into three distinct modules, have been held in the Community Care Unit Nostra Pontinha. Over the past decades have witnessed the migration flow, which has led to a mixture of lifestyles, behaviors, attitudes, values, demographics, social and cultural. The area of influence of the UCC is characterized by multiculturalism, and some localities are identified health problems such as sexually transmitted infections, risk behaviors, as well as problems related to low socio-economic and cultural level. Since 2009 questionnaires are applied to users who perform a rapid test for HIV infection in the Mobile Unit. The care given to the population and the UCC team's experience highlights related health problems and risk behaviors in terms of sexuality. It has become essential to understand the perception of users against risk behaviors. For the above and meeting the needs of the UCC, in Module I realized the diagnosis of health of users who performed the rapid test for HIV infection between 2009 and May 12, 2011. Were applied during this period, 79 questionnaires on the day of the rapid test. It was confirmed multiculturalism, have been identified 6 different nationalities. Half of users (51%) have assumed that risk behaviors, although adopt the risk and this as the main reason why the test is performed sexual contact without a condom. Three of 79 tests were reactive. In Module II and given the results it was decided in consensus with the team of UCC as a priority the implementation of an intervention project among the population, "Educating to Prevent," to promote the reduction of risk behaviors for transmission of infection by HIV and other STIs. In a first phase and due to the characteristics of the population was organized a Workshop directed to the population in general and education sessions were planned for health on the topic HIV and STIs in two schools in the area of influence of the UCC. In Module III was continued to the project intervention sessions through the health education on the topic HIV and STI to target groups: students, teachers and assistants operating. Also participated in the project "Educating for Caring", starting the first course, addressed informal caregivers were followed by users of Continuous Care Team (ECCI) on the subject placements and transfers.
