The skills recommended by the teaching staff are always guiding the learning as well as the specific objectives previously outlined and the consequent activities that are justified and documented. The skills are grouped by different areas of nursing practice: care, care management, training and research. Throughout the internship, Parenting was addressed with special emphasis on transition and exercise of the parental role and more specifically on child safety. We know that accidents are the leading cause of death and disability in children. That is why it is urgent to intervene with the children and the parents. Thus, it is important to empower them with knowledge so they are able to promote safe environments and to recognize the dangerous ones. As the pediatric nurse, has a profound knowledge and specific skills about this subject, she has a greater responsibility to ensure quality care. The goal of this report is to obtain a master's degree and to allow the acquirement of the needed skills to care for children / parents in situations of particular needs and complexity.
