Abstract

The present internship report aims to describe the activities carried out throughout the school year 2012/2013, as part of the 2nd year of the Master in Clinical and Health Psychology, taught in the Portuguese Catholic University - Faculty of Philosophy of Braga. The internship was held at the Centro de Solidariedade Social – Projeto Homem, located in Braga, and lasted nine months (500 hours).The curricular internship represents the excellence moment of higher learning in the practical training of the intern. Thus, this internship general objective was to apply the different theoretical approaches in the context of the practice in Clinical and Health Psychology along with the acquisition of skills and experience appropriate for professional and autonomous practice. This report is divided into four parts. In the first part there’s a briefly description of the institutional context, along with the role of the psychologist integrated in that context; in the second moment we proceed with the characterization of the observation and the assessment of needs. In a third part, we describe the activities carried out in the context, and finally, we present the conclusion in which we elaborated an integrative reflection about the internship.
