The current Internship Report results within the curricular unit - Final Internship and Report of the 15th Master's Course in Nursing with Specialization in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing, from the Institute of Health Sciences of Porto of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Its main goal is to demonstrate, with a grounded basis, the achievement and development of inherent skills to the attainment of the master’s degree in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing. Thus, it is intended to perform a reflective analysis of several areas within the Child and Pediatric Health Nurse activity, such as School Health, Child Health Surveillance, Pain, Care Partnership, Parenthood, and others, prioritizing the integration of knowledge and current evidence into care delivery. To this end, a descriptive and critical-reflective methodology of the entire care process developed throughout the internship was used. The reflection on the skills previously acquired, even though partially, proved to be fundamental, since they served as a basis for the accomplishment of this path. The proposed skills for this curricular unit were grouped into four domains of action (Care Delivery, Management, Training and Research) emphasizing the defined objectives and the activities developed in two care contexts – Primary Health Care and Pediatric Medical-Surgical Inpatient Unit, and it is verified the contribution that this learning process has to the improvement of the quality of care to the child or young person and their families.
