Relatório de estágio

Abstract

It concerns to Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing the identification of essential phenomena to the development of human being potential and his adaptation to different contexts of transition. This document, denominated by Relatório de Estágio, developed to the obtainment of a Nursing Master degree in the context of the Nursing Master with specialization in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, promoted by the Instituto de Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Centro Regional do Porto, is intended, in general, to be a narrative and a description of the activities and interventions developed during the evolution of the course Estágio, to the analysis of it and a reflective consideration, as well as the presentation of a quasi-experimental research, based on an active Nursing intervention. The development of the referred course occurred, respectively, in the Psychiatry Department of Hospital de Braga (Módulo II – Desenvolvimento de Competências em Unidades de Intervenção na Crise de Adultos), in the Gabinete Integrado de Serviços (Módulo I – Promoção de Estilos de Vida Saudável, Diagnóstico e Intervenção), in project ConSentido (Módulo I and Módulo III – Opcional (Pessoas com Problemas de Adição)), and still in the Unidade de S. Luís Gonzaga (Módulo III), related to Casa de Saúde do Bom Jesus. The Relatório de Estágio is divided into three major chapters, in wich in the first one is presented the Projeto de Estágio and characterized the fields of action where it took place, in the second one are exhibited the activities as well the therapeutic and psychotherapeutic interventions developed in Módulo I, Módulo II and Módulo III and, in the third chapter, is presented the quasi-experimental research established. The development of this document is based on descriptive and expositive methods, and on documental analysis and literature review, well as on brief descriptive statistical analysis, being the same the final presentation of the experiences and results that occurred in Estagio in the context of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.
