This internship report refers to the curricular traineeship in Clinical Psychology and Health, and was conducted at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Barcelos. The main objective is the description of the activities carried on throughout the traineeship and aimed at the elderly valence of this institution. This began in the first of February, 2013 and ended on the thirty-first of July, 2013. The report consists of eight chapters. The first chapter will be the characterization of the institution and the description of the role of the psychologist in the clinical context. The second chapter will be a reflection on the major differences between working as a clinical psychologist and health with the elderly population, in comparison with other facilities, differentiating specific aspects of the environment and valence in question. The third chapter will present the initial activities, including the observation of clinical cases, as well as assessing the needs of the institution. In the fourth chapter it will describe the activities of individual intervention and its characterization, and then cases of psychological assessment and intervention, as well as the detailed description of a clinical case followed during the traineeship and evaluation with two different users. In the fifth chapter, it will be presented the group intervention "Time of Smiling", carried on with some users of D. Leonor’s Home. The sixth chapter will proceed to the description of the action of awareness" Loves me, I won´t hate" held to some users of the St. Andrew’s Home. In the seventh chapter, other activities made during the final stage will be presented. Finally, the eighth chapter will be a personal reflection on the experience of traineeship.
