Abstract

The Internship Report presented with the objective of synthesizing and reporting an entire learning process resulting from the stage developed, which was organized into three modules: module I - Child Health; Module II - Medicine and Surgery Services in contexts of acute and chronic disease; Module III - Pediatric Emergency Services and Neonatal Services. The methodology used is descriptive and reflexive, where I describe the developed practices supported by a critical reflection, based on the knowledge acquired in theory and those that result from the research in the context of the stage. In the different contexts where I went, I had the opportunity to observe and act in a differentiated way in the assistance to the RN / child / youth and family, in a holistic perspective increasing my skills and competences, focused on health promotion and prevention of complications ensuring their well- be. Parallel to this practice was a continuous updating of knowledge based on the current scientific evidence for an action based on evidence-based practice. All this course of learning allowed me to apply the theoretical knowledge already acquired, to have the opportunity to explore new areas, to strengthen and develop already acquired knowledges. The elaboration of this document undoubtedly constituted a foundation for a course of maturation and professional and personal construction in order to develop specialized nursing skills and
