Abstract

This report comes in the second year of Clinical Psychology Master of Health and theUniversidade Católica Portuguesa, Faculdade de Filosofia e Ciências Sociais, Centro Regional de Braga. The stage was held in Casa de Saúde de São José, belonging to the Order of the Portuguese Province Hospitaller of São João de Deus, having contact with users of the following inpatient units: São João de Deus, São João Grande, Psychogeriatrics São Bento Menni, Irmão Pierluigi Marchesi. The traineeship takes a didactic character, in order to provide the student contact with real situations. Are promoted this way skills in learning to do, be and to be essential in the workplace and in the practice of clinical psychology and health. With the traineeship are put into practice the theoretical knowledge acquired over four years of course. This report is divided into three parts: the first includes the characterization of the stage of local institution, taking into account the objectives it pursues, the then existing services, the target population and the needs of the institution. The second part describes the activities performed on stage context, including individual interventions, group intervention and training action. Finally, the third part includes a final reflection on the learning achieved throughout this process.
