This report is presented in the scope of the Curricular Unit Final Internship and Report of the Master's Degree of Nursing in Child and Pediatric Health, from Universidade Católica Portuguesa do Porto. This degree specifically aims the acquisition of scientific and technical skills for the provision of specialized care and the performance of more complex activities with the newborn, child and adolescent and their families, going beyond the domain of general care. The report was elaborated according to a descriptive and critical reflexive methodology summarizing the work / learning developed in the different care contexts where the Final Internship took place, which covered the areas of child health, pediatric emergency and neonatology services, in a total of 750 hours of work (360 hours in practice context and 390 hours of individual work). Its purpose is to demonstrate the experience along the different care contexts, highlighting the acquired skills in the area of specialization. They were organized into four domains of activity: care provider, training, care management, and research. The objectives defined taking into account each of these domains were achieved through activities defined for their achievement, through critical-reflexive analysis centered on the care of the child and family, based on a partnership in care model, mobilizing and integrating knowledge and acquired throughout my academic and professional path. Finally, I analyze the results and implications of the lived experiences. This is how my learning and intervention in training as a Nurse Specialist in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing is demonstrated, culminating in the acquisition of the requested skills for the provision of specialized nursing care.
