The skills acquired during the internship and the preparation of this report have enabled the development of new skills. With this, I realized the importance of the nurse in providing the care that the child needs. I learned how to perform nursing diagnostics and deepened my knowledge of acute and chronic diseases in children. Besides, I developed critical thinking essential to a specialist nurse. I have acquired skills, personal growth, and the ability to identify the needs of the child and the family by providing care based on scientific evidence. This learning will enable an effective and grounded practice in the provision of care as a future Nurse Specialist in Child Health and Pediatrics, always guaranteeing the search for up-to-date knowledge and excellence in care.
