This report occurs in the scope of the Master’s Degree in Nursing, with specialization in Nursing of Infant Health and Pediatrics, which refers specifically to the acquisition, development and integration of knowledge for advanced nursing care to newborns, children and adolescents, particularly directed to the promotion of development and adaptation to processes of health and illness. It also confers competence for the provision of specialized care. The internship integrates three modules developed in different contexts: Module I - Child Health; Module II - Medicine and Surgery Services and Module III - Pediatric Emergency and Neonatology Service and represents a total of 750 hours, including 540 hours of direct care and 210 hours of individual work. Gathering the skills of a Nurse Specialist in different domains of intervention: Provision of Care, Management, Research and Training, specific objectives were defined for each care context, which, in turn, determined the need for planning and implementation of activities. The area of parenting can be emphasized, particularly in the context of its promotion, as being the one that was represented more transversally in the assistance developed. Also the selection, mobilization and integration of the acquired knowledge during my personal and professional career were decisive for the achievement of the formulated objectives. The document includes a critical reflection in which the intentionality of the developed work and the meaning of the lived experiences is transmitted, in order to highlight the acquired competences. This report shows the training course that allowed the acquisition of specialized skills and master in the area of Child and Pediatric Health Nursing.
