The present report is included on a Master study plan in Nursing, specialization in Surgery Nursing, lectured by Instituto de Ciências da Saúde - Universidade Católica Portuguesa. This work appears as an illustrative document of the knowledge acquired during the Training performed on the following services: Emergency unit, Cardiology Intensive care unit and Operating room from CHVNG/E. It describes what was performed through critical reflection from both general and specific goals, and highlights the activities developed, highlighting the activities for achieving these goals on the situations / problems encountered, indicating the suggested strategies to address them and their implementation, and show skills acquired. The training referring to module I was performed in the Emergency room unit. It enabled me with the understanding of the dynamic of the care performed to the critical patient, in the different emergency areas, allowing me to achieve knowledge and skills in the area of: triage, yellow/orange, green/blue, small surgery, orthopedic and reanimation room. The training referring to module II was performed in the Intensive care unit of Cardiology enabling me to improve the knowledge and skills in the area of intensive care unit. The module III referred to the optional training about Nursing in Operation room allowing me to achieve knowledge and skills on assisting the surgical patient on all stages of the surgery. The chosen methodology for the development of this work is based on descriptive method and analytic thinking trough reflection and exposure to the different activities performed, confronting them with the ones proposed on The Training project. With this work it’s my goal to highlight in a global way the achieved skills, its importance for the accurate development of the nursing work, specialized in Medical surgical nursing.
