Abstract

This report aims to give visibility and expose the path to acquiring skills common area of specialty and expertise of the Specialist Nurse in Nursing in Critical Situation in person, included in the Course of Stage Master Specialization in Medical-Surgical Institute of Health Sciences at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. The Stage Curriculum unit consists of three modules: Module I - Urgency, Module II - Intensive Care Unit and Module III - Optional when I chose the field of Palliative Care. The module I was performed at the Hospital Fernando Da Fonseca in the period from 19 April to 18 June 2010, Module II took place in the Intensive Care Unit 1, Central Lisbon Hospital Center, between September 26 and November 19 and Module III of 2010 was held at the Palliative Care Unit of the Hospital da Luz, in the period 22 November 2010 to January 28, 2011. In this document are described the targets for achieving the three stages of Specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing, as well as activities undertaken to facilitate the acquisition and development of scientific, technical and relational in the area of specialty. This report is built through critical analysis and reflection of various experiences and issues that contributed to my personal and professional growth, seeking the excellence of nursing care.
