The following report refers itself to the periods of internship carried through the Masters in Nursing with specialization in Medical Surgical Nursing, of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Instituto de Ciências da Saúde, Centro Regional das Beiras, in Viseu. This period of internship covered 3 modules, with the duration of 180 hours, distributed chronologicaly by the following form: Module I- Emergency Room of the Centro Hospitalar Cova da Beira, E.P.E, Covilhã, from Octobe08th 2009 to November 21st 2009; Module II- Intensive Care Unit Centro Hospitalar Cova da Beira, E.P.E., Covilhã, from December of 11th 2009 to January 21st 2010; Module III three shifts in the VMER of the Hospital of São Marcos, Braga and a paper based on the Continued Care National Network. With this document, it is intended to describe, in a reflexive form, the activities developed during these periods of internship and to relate these activities with the achievement of the goals (general, specific and personal), the personal acquisition of abilities and motivations. The application of the knowledge to the practice reality, with the continuous search of the improvement of the quality of the cares provided in the context of the person in health situation/illness, to the person in critical situation and the prevent the development and to control of the infections acquired in an in-hospital context, as well as contribution in the development of nursing students and the continuous educative sessions inside the wards, these where aspects that had been applied and developed during these periods of training. The communication, conflicts management, support to the client and family in the experience process sickness/ health where also taken seriously, always in a reflexive perspective. Thus being, this document aims not only to describe the acquired activities and abilities, but also the underlying reflection to the practical analysis of the daily routines, aiming to improve the quality of the Nursing cares of, heading to the excellence of the quality of caring.
