Abstract

This report aims to describe the professional activity exercised in his capacity as technical director in Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS) of Vale do Cávado, in the period between 2007 and 2013. For better understanding of IPSS began the report by the characterization of this type of social responses, whose priority objective is to act on prevention and support of families, children, youth and seniors in situations of risk and social and human needs and promote the cultural and social integration of the population in order to help embattled acquiring healthy lifestyles and promoters of quality of life. The report describes the functions and activities while technical director as well as the diversity of competence that are required in those functions. The methodology used in this report is exclusively descriptive and are used bibliographical sources and online sites to display and feature the IPSS.
