Entitled Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance, this dissertation contemplates the growing interest in the topic and its connection with stakeholders. The legal and economic implications of CSR are observed through a prism facing the current situation, which pressures companies to adopt policies and investments of social and environmental nature. But its connection to law is not forgotten, reflecting on its framework and integration into law, as well as recognising CSR as a legal institute. It is a long road to definitive institutionalisation, but the first steps have already been taken, driven both by community pressure and pressure from the European Union. 7 Although the topic is no longer recent, it has emerged with such force that it is here to stay and change business policy.
