This thesis examines the challenges of retaining young professionals in Argentina from 2020 to 2024, amid economic instability, rising inflation, and a volatile labor market. The research focuses on how these conditions have influenced job satisfaction, talent retention, and emigration trends among the country9s young professionals. The study employs a mixedmethods approach, combining quantitative data from surveys with qualitative insights from interviews with HR professionals. Key findings reveal that competitive salaries, growth opportunities, and work-life balance are the primary factors influencing job satisfaction and retention. The impact of Argentina9s economic crisis, particularly high inflation and currency devaluation has driven many young professionals to seek remote work or emigrate for better opportunities abroad. As a result, companies face the challenge of retaining talent in an increasingly competitive global market. The research also highlights the shift in HR strategies, moving beyond traditional methods to focus on non-monetary incentives, such as professional development, flexible work arrangements, and fostering a positive organizational culture. These approaches align with the expectations of younger generations, who prioritize personal growth and meaningful work. By analyzing the current employment trends and HR practices, this thesis provides valuable insights for businesses in Argentina and other countries facing similar challenges in talent retention during economic crises.
