Violence against children and adolescents persists as a complex and multifaceted social problem, with lasting negative impacts on their development. In this context, positive parenting emerges as a promising strategy to mitigate these effects and foster a healthy and protective family environment. This qualitative, empirical research investigated the influence of the positive parenting program "Growing Up Learning" on the child development of children enrolled in three municipal schools (EMEF Leolina Batista Ramos, CEI Fernanda Brito and CEI Maria Elcir Oliveira) in the city of Aquiraz, Ceará, Brazil. The program aims to strengthen the bonds between the educational community and families, promoting the integral development of children through thematic parenting meetings. The research involved the participation of mothers of students, technicians from the municipal department, school administrators and professionals from the program. Data collection was carried out through participant observation in the parenting meetings and semi-structured interviews with the different actors involved. The main results indicate a general perception of improvement in child development, strengthening of family and school ties, and positive changes in parenting practices after the implementation of the program. Mothers reported greater dialogue and patience with their children, while administrators and teachers observed a more welcoming and engaged school environment. The research demonstrates the potential of positive parenting programs such as "Growing Up Learning" to break the cycle of violence and promote a more promising future for children.
