Abstract

In this work, we seek to understand how the synodal journey initiated by Pope Francis seeks to give shape to the Second Vatican Council by making synodality an ecclesial style. The novelty introduced in this synodal itinerary is that the only qualification required to participate in this process is to have received the grace of baptism. The Pope seeks to revalorize the ecclesiological category of synodality as a fundamental element for the life of the Church.
In practice, the mission is to transform the world on the basis of the Gospel, but we will not do this through the haughty attitude of those who have nothing to learn, or in ignorance of concrete biographies and historical processes. On the contrary, this synodal journey seeks the appropriate way to preach the Revealed Word, recognizing that loyalty to the Gospel Truth exposes us to change, which, far from being a degradation of the patrimony of faith, is a requirement that
comes from the mystery of the Incarnation: God reveals himself in the omplexity of history.
