The present dissertation is a case study about reward systems and it’s impact on the attraction and retention of talents in an organization linked to high technology. The case study was done based on a qualitative approach, using participant observation in the field by the researcher and by interviews done by on the organizations workers. The results are globally aligned with the literature of the field, particularly what is concerned to the need of maintenance of key factors of the reward systems as equity, the alignment of the system with the organizations strategies and the system being perceived as fair and objective to its workers. In the conclusions proposals are made to face gaps in the literature identified in the system during the investigation: lack of individual, internal and external equity in the reward system, lack of alignment between the reward system and the organization’s strategies, the communication is not efficient in the organization regarding the reward system and articulated processes, the need of a special attention to the management of their talents in the company since the previsions of eventual lack of them in the future and the international policies that are needed to guaranty management efficiency.
