Currently, shopkeepers face adverse working conditions, characterized by low wages and scarce opportunities for career advancement, in addition to living under constant pressure from customers and organizations. With the aim of deepening the understanding of this issue, this study was carried out, which sought to explore the relationship between stress, organizational commitment and job satisfaction in shopkeepers. A non-random convenience sample of 201 shopkeepers was used, to whom a socio-demographic questionnaire, the portuguese version of the Stress Perceived Scale, the Three Components Model and Cuestionario de Satisfaccion Laboral S20/23 were applied. The collected information was analyzed using the program IBM The Stastical Package for Social Science 28 (SPSS). The results revealed that most shopkeepers have moderate levels of occupational stress, a moderate appreciation of organizational commitment and are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with their work. In addition, it was also possible to find relationships, both negative and positive, between occupational stress, organizational commitment and job satisfaction.
