This case study provides an overview of TAP Portugal and the recent evolution of the company, mainly after its current CEO, Fernando Pinto, assumed its control. The purpose of this master dissertation is to analyze the strategic decisions that were made and their consequences. Moreover, it describes what are the advantages of the “Triangulation Strategy”, which TAP Portugal practices nowadays. The environment and situation of the aviation industry are also analyzed, including the potential opportunities and threats for the future. Some strategic frameworks and modes of internationalization are studied in the teaching notes segment.
