The aim of this dissertation is to investigate the attitude of guests towards the implementation oftechnological solutions to mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 virus in budget hotels. On the 11th ofMarch 2020, the virus was declared a global pandemic and many companies, including those in thehotel sector, implemented new technologies to remain open.More specifically, this work intends to see how technological solutions can have a positive impact onbudget hotel. Although it is not a recent approach in the hotel sector, the implementation oftechnological solutions can be fundamental for hotels to remain open and increase occupancy ratesagain during pandemic crises. The primary data was collected through a pre-tested questionnaire based on the TechnologyAcceptance Model in order to measure guest attitudes towards the use of technology to reduce therisk of a Covid-19 infection. The results of the analysis indicate that the independent variables (easeof use, effectiveness and usefulness) and the dependent variable (intention to book a room at a budgethotel) are related.
