Abstract

With the COVID-19 pandemic, it became evident that the population had to adapt to new demands that were established by this phenomenon. One of the big changes that occurred was in the workplace in the form of teleworking, which already existed previously. There were few organizations in Peru that used this way of working. However, given the prevention measures to stop the effects of this new disease, it became mandatory to adapt to it. Teleworking had regulations issued by the Ministry of Labor of Peru. Despite this, there were problems adapting to teleworking in organizations due to the lack of prior training with collaborators. This situation triggered an increase in work stress levels. For this reason, this research carries out a case study in a Peruvian company called Cooperativa Pacífico, in the Systems area, since it is an organization that adapted teleworking during COVID times. On the other hand, it aims to explore its psychological effect, focusing on work stress. To obtain the information, semi-structured interviews were carried out with a script of questions. According to the results, it is evident that teleworking influences the psychological well-being of workers, finding in the present research four subthemes, such as technology, the emotional aspect, communication, and socialization that are linked to the relationship between the employer and the employee so that they generate the confidence of being in a pleasant space. In addition, an action plan is proposed to reduce stress levels during teleworking.
