Abstract

This paper sets out, in the form of a reflective narrative theoretically sustained, striking episodes of my professional development, which I have chosen, among others, as cornerstones of my professional being, benchmarks for rerouting. Thus, and within the path of memory, I tell threelife stories as a teacher and as a person, treading paths of awareness, of learning, of change, of innovation and of transformation: all roads began in Rome, where I had the first experience of education, the first teaching contact and where I felt the awakening of the teaching vocation. New directions would follow - a brief stay in Mogofores and my professional and personal journey in the service of the Colégio da Rainha Santa Isabel, where I still remain. Finally, a transforming track with the challenge of attending a Postgraduate Course in Educational Administration. These paths, which were experienced throughout my professional life, gave way to reflected paths. I take as a great enrichment to elucidate these experiences from other perspectives on the subjects that emerge from my storytelling. The theoretical reflexive approach, organized into three subchapters, covers the most important aspects that stand out in each narrated moment: professional identities; school culture, pedagogical relationship and leadership, professional and organizational development. Finally, new paths are opened that will allow, not only the analysis and reflection of relevant vocational learning, but also the projection of what may be the subject of change.
