Abstract

As part of the Master of Nursing, in the area of the Medical-Surgical Nursing Specialization, was established an Internship Report, describing the activities carried out in accordance with the proposed objectives, as well as the skills developed through a reflective analysis about my practice. The stage was divided into three Modules. In Modules I and II, after conducting a diagnostic situation, using descriptive statistics, catalogs of diagnoses and nursing interventions were elaborated, using as reference the International Classification for Nursing Practice, promoting the importance of registration in the visibility of nursing care allowing thus better planning and management of that same caring. In Module III, using a structured observation and descriptive statistics, was evaluated the adherence of health professionals, a selected sample, to the practice of hand hygiene. The adherence rate of the sample was below the national rate published by the DGS, in 2011. It was intended to raise awareness of the importance of hand hygiene in the prevention of Infections Associated with Health Care. Either the practice of hand hygiene, either the International Classification for Nursing Practice, are sustained by scientific evidence, contributing to informed decision-making. In all modules is visible a humanistic and transcultural care, integrated in the Transformation Paradigm. When caring with the person, the factors that define him/her must be respected (beliefs, values, attitudes, culture), being in constant interaction with the environment that surrounds him/her.
