The central theme of this report is teamwork and interprofessional education in healthcare, particularly, in critical care situations. The human factor related to teamwork is the main cause of preventable adverse events in healthcare. In critical care context, due to complexity of care and the hemodynamic instability of patients, this subject is of special importance. The interprofessional education programs are tools to teach and train health care teams in collaborative practice promotion. They are associated with better care and better outcomes for the patients. In that way, there were developed two scoping reviews with the titles “The use of interprofessional education programs in health care” and “TeamSTEPPSÒ and interprofessional communication, in caring for people in critical situations”.
