Trajectórias de exclusão social em mulheres sem abrigo

: um estudo de caso

Abstract

The present study aims to contribute to the understanding of the social exclusion trajectories of homeless women. Given the difficult access to this population and the lack of studies on that matter, we decided to study a single case, which allows an in-depth exploration of the meanings related to an experience of homeless women’s condition. The main results of this study demonstrated that the existence of heterogeneous factors could lead a person living in the street. The street’s context may have positive meanings and, with regard to the women and men experiences, the results points to similar factors but with different meanings.
