This report focuses on the case study of a student with autism inserted in a public school towards academic success. Therefore, it proved essential, first, to present the career and set out the problem of students that were succeeding, during the performance of duties as a Special Education teacher. After stated the problem and announced the clinical, family and student history, proceeded to the revelation of measures of the Special Education System and the support provided by the Special Education. The entire second part of this report is filled with the theoretical framework of autism theme: from the definition and historical evolution of the concept to the etiology of the characteristics of autism, from the diagnostic criteria of the role of education and schools in relation to autism to the intervention levels and intervention models, with an inevitable stop on inclusive school concept understood under the Portuguese law. As conclusive analysis of this study it was found that the academic success of students with autism can be a reality.
