The execution of this work comes under the curricular unit Report of the Master’s degree in Nursing, with Specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing, of the Institute of Health Sciences, Catholic Universidad of Portugal. This report focuses on the clinical practice developed in the Emergency Room (Module I) of Vila Real Hospital, E.P.E, in Intensive Medicine Service (Module II) of Pedro Hispano Hospital, E.P.E. and at the Medical Emergency National Institute (Module III). This report main objective is the acquisition of skills within the Specialization in Medical- Surgical Nursing. Its purpose is the confrontation of the practice about the reflection of the actions performed with the knowledge previously acquired, and its analysis. Structurally, this work was organized according to the domains of the Specific Competence of Specialist Nurse in Nursing in Person in Critical Condition. The contributions for the clinical practice modules were related with situations/problems detected and their attempts to solve them. Therefore, in clinical practice Module III – Prehospital Assistance was elaborated a proposal of intervention about Pre-hospital Infection Control related to the cleaning and disinfection of the Advanced Life Support Ambulances. In the clinical practice Module II – Intensive Care Unit, the contributions were related with a proposal of intervention about Thirst in Intensive Care and the elaboration of an article of integrative review about Music Therapy in Intensive Care. The contributions left in the clinical practice Module I – Emergency Room consisted on a proposal of intervention about the Indication for the Use of Gloves and the elaboration of a Good Practice Manual for the Collection and Preservation of Forensic Evidences. This level of academic training has been translated in to the development of an increasingly complex professional practice, differentiated and demanding. Thus, learning in the context of clinical practice goes through not only the organization of theoretical and practical concepts, but also for the conceptualization of the reflected and modified action based on scientific evidence.
