This report is part of the Nursing Master's Specialization course in Medical-Surgical Nursing and involves the approach to the three stage modules developed: Prehospital Care, Intensive Care and Emergency Department in the period from February 10 to November 11, 2014. The objectives are: a critical and reflective analysis of the objectives/skills acquired and developed activities. The selected methodology is the critical-reflective and descriptive. In view of personal and professional needs defined for the acquisition of skills are described with reasoning situations experienced with the user, family and multidisciplinary team. Interventions and reflections were meeting the problem situations identified in the different modules as well the developed activities where there is a review of Learning Professionals as Nurse Specialist, and the Management of Care and Resources in Nursing. In addition the exerted practice are presented elaborate works including the Register of Activations in the context of Pre-Hospital Care and Emergency Room and a Case Study. Greater relevance is given: to Nursing Records, in the search for improvement and efficiency of care; to the Communication with The Critical Illness, in the search for strategies in a holistic assistance improving communication techniques, interpreting the needs and difficulties of the patient in critical condition, towards satisfaction and excellence of care; to Ethical Reflections and ethics governing the profession of nursing, looking reflection on various themes including the Consent to Health, Pass Shift Along the Users and Privacy of Users in the ER, and on the grounds of compassionate care. The development of a teaching program on Pain Assessment in Critical Illness has filled with the exhibition of this work and described in this report. The development of these themes shows the results achieved in stage what I consider largely achieved considering this route very enriching learning. I stress the development of intervention project on Pain Assessment by transmitting knowledge to health professionals and improving the quality of care, as reflected in daily clinical practice of nursing team. Learning does not stop, so in the future I want, as Nurse Specialist, improve the quality, effectiveness and compassionate care for the patient.
